Wedding planner and decorator website design
A site built around real weddings, service tiers and a stated budget band, with an enquiry form that captures date, city, guest count and budget and sends it straight to WhatsApp. From ₹24,999, live in 7–10 working days.
A wedding planner sells trust in something that cannot be repeated. The family gets one attempt at the date, and they hand it to whoever looks least likely to fail. Most planner websites do not carry that signal — a slideshow of pretty photographs, no venue names, no guest counts, and no way to tell whether the firm handles a 200-guest house wedding or a 1,500-guest palace week.
We build the site as a filter rather than a brochure. Real weddings written up with venue, guest count, theme and vendor credits. Service tiers kept apart so a day-of coordination enquiry does not land on your full-planning page. A budget band stated in plain figures. An enquiry form that asks for date, city, guest count and budget before anything else, then drops all four into WhatsApp. The three demos below — Élysée Weddings, ÉCLAT Events and DAAWAT — are live and open fine on a phone.
The six weeks when every enquiry arrives at once
Enquiries for a wedding planner do not arrive evenly. Two windows carry most of the year, November to February and again April to May, and the bookings for those dates are made three to nine months earlier. So the website has to work hardest in a monsoon month when the business itself looks quiet.
The shortlist rarely starts on Google. It starts with a photograph — a friend’s mandap, a reel, a venue manager’s suggestion — and Google is the second step, where somebody checks whether the planner is real. That check happens on a phone, often late at night, and the link is then forwarded into a family group. Three or four people open the same page: the bride, the parent who is paying, an uncle with a firm opinion about the caterer. A page that reads well to a marketer and badly to a father is a page that loses the booking.
Listing portals sit above almost every planner for city-plus-service searches, and they sell the same lead to four firms. Meanwhile the planner’s own site is a full-screen video, a gallery of unlabelled photographs and a form asking for name and email. Nothing says which wedding was 200 guests and which was 2,000. Nothing says whether the firm takes day-of coordination or only full planning. Nothing states a starting budget, so the inbox fills with couples whose entire budget is under the decor cost, and each one still costs a phone call to discover.
Real weddings, tiers, and a form that asks four questions first
Élysée Weddings, ÉCLAT Events and DAAWAT run on the same spine with different weight on each part — planning, events plus catering, catering alone. What goes in:
- Real wedding case studies carrying venue name, city, guest count, theme, season and the vendor team, published only with the couple’s written consent.
- Separate pages for full planning, partial planning, day-of coordination and decor only, each listing what is included and what is not.
- A starting budget band on every tier page, so an enquiry far below your floor filters itself out before the phone call.
- A destination section covering the regions you actually work in, with travel, stay and logistics notes and a minimum guest count.
- An enquiry form whose first four fields are wedding date, city or venue, guest count and budget band; name and email come after.
- Date handling: a blocked-window note for the muhurat weeks you are already full, and the chosen date carried into the WhatsApp message.
- A vendor network page by category — photography, catering, mehendi, makeup, sound and light, florists — instead of a wall of borrowed logos.
- Venue pages linked to the weddings you have run there, which is how a planner picks up searches a listing portal cannot answer well.
- Decor albums grouped by function and theme — haldi, sangeet, mandap, reception, pastel, floral, royal — so a decor-only buyer lands in two taps.
- Galleries built for a 4G phone: WebP, fixed image dimensions so nothing jumps, and no autoplay video on mobile data.
- A WhatsApp button that opens with date, city and guest count already written into the first message.
- A journal for seasonal posts — season checklists, budget breakdowns, venue write-ups — which gives the site something to rank with.
All of it sits on the same build we ship as a standard web development service: mobile-first, SSL, compressed images, Search Console and Analytics inside your own Google account, and a 40-point check before launch.
The portals will out-rank you for the city search, and that is survivable
Search for a wedding planner with any city attached and the first screen belongs to listing portals. They hold thousands of pages, years of links and a review corpus no single firm can match. Trying to out-rank them on that one phrase is the most expensive way to spend a budget, and we will say so before taking the money.
The searches a planner can win are narrower and much closer to the booking. Your own firm name, because someone saw a reel and is checking you exist. Venue-led searches, because a page about the three weddings you ran at one palace hotel is more specific than anything a directory holds. Theme and format searches — intimate wedding, sangeet decor, a destination region — where a case study with guest count and vendor credits beats a listing card. That is the shape of SEO that pays for a planner: fifteen honest pages, not one impossible keyword.
Then there is the part nobody plans for. Wedding photographs arrive four to eight weeks after the event, the season ends, and the site freezes. Decide before launch who uploads. Most firms give it to whoever already runs the Instagram account, and we train that person in one Google Meet on adding a real wedding — venue, guest count, theme, vendors, twelve images. If nobody will own it, take the care plan at ₹1,499/month and send us the folder after each wedding. A gallery that stops two seasons back does more damage than a small gallery that is current.
