Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Website Design
A site that shows your rate card, checks the customer’s pin code, books a pickup slot and pushes order updates to WhatsApp. Business Website at ₹24,999, live in 7–10 working days, with every admin login in your name.
A laundry runs on trust and repetition, and both are decided before the first pickup ever happens. Someone searching at ten at night wants three answers: does the van come to my pin code, what does a shirt cost, and when do I get it back. The average laundry website answers none of those — a stock photo of a washing machine, a phone number, and a contact form nobody checks.
We build the site around the order rather than the company story. The rate card sits on the home page. The pin code box sits above it. A pickup slot can be booked without creating an account, and the confirmation lands on WhatsApp because that is where an Indian customer will actually read it. The three demos below — DHOBI & CO for laundry and garment care, SAAF for deep cleaning packages, KARIGAR for home service booking — are live sites you can open on your phone right now and use.
Price transparency is what UClean and Tumbledry actually sell
A customer comparing laundries is not comparing wash quality — nobody can judge that until the clothes come back. They compare the two things they can see: what it costs and how little effort it takes. The franchise chains understood this early. UClean and Tumbledry put a per-kg wash-and-fold rate and a per-garment dry-clean list in front of a visitor within one scroll, and they take the order from an independent laundry that has been pressing better shirts for fifteen years but keeps its rates “on call”.
Search behaviour follows the same logic. The queries are “dry cleaning near me”, “laundry pickup and delivery”, “laundry service per kg rate” and “curtain dry cleaning charges”. Three of those four are price questions. A site with no published rate card cannot answer them, so it never earns the click, and directory listings and franchise pages absorb the traffic instead. Published rates are also the cheapest SEO a laundry can do, because one honest page turns into a dozen long-tail answers.
The second decision point is the service area. A visitor in a pin code you do not cover costs you nothing if you tell them in two seconds; it costs you a phone call, a WhatsApp exchange and a poor impression if they find out after filling a form. The third is the calendar. Woollens in November, curtains and carpets before Diwali, sherwanis and lehengas through the wedding months, hostel and PG bulk plans when colleges reopen in June. A home page that reads exactly the same in June and in November gives away the easiest bookings of the year.
Slots, pin codes and a rate card that stays current
The build is organised around one question: how few taps sit between landing on the page and a confirmed pickup. Everything else is supporting material.
- Rate card split into wash-and-fold per kg, dry clean per garment and premium care, with a search box so a visitor can type “blazer” or “lehenga” and see the price
- Pin code checker above the fold that returns either the next free pickup slot or a short waitlist form for areas you have not reached yet
- Pickup booking with date and two-hour slot windows, each slot capped so the van is never over-booked
- Subscription plans laid out as a comparison table — monthly kilo bundles or a fixed number of pickups — with renewal reminders going out on WhatsApp
- Order tracking keyed to the order number, moving through picked up, sorted, in wash, pressing and out for delivery
- Status messages on SMS and WhatsApp at pickup, ready and out for delivery; ZupiChat at ₹999/month if you want templated broadcasts and a shared inbox
- Garment tag reference so a customer can match the tag number on the collar to a line in the order
- Separate service pages for curtain cleaning, carpet shampooing, shoe laundry, leather and suede care, and pressing-only, each written to rank on its own
- Express delivery shown as a flag with the surcharge stated on the booking form, not discovered at the door
- A damage, shrinkage and loss policy page with the compensation limit written in rupees and linked from the booking confirmation
- Bulk enquiry form for hostels, PGs, hotels and restaurants asking bed count or weekly kilos, linen type and billing cycle, routed to your sales number
- GST invoice details and a downloadable rate sheet for contract customers who have to put your quote in front of a purchase manager
Payment collection is optional at this stage. Most laundries take UPI on delivery, and a gateway only earns its keep once subscriptions carry a real share of revenue — at that point the E-commerce Store build at ₹99,999 is the sensible base, rather than bolting a cart onto a brochure site.
The B2B pages will out-earn the consumer pages
Here is the trade-off worth stating plainly. For a single-shop neighbourhood laundry with a two-kilometre delivery radius, a website will not beat a well-maintained Google Business Profile on the “laundry near me” search. The map pack sits above the results, and the listing with more photos, correct timings and a steady flow of reviews takes that click. If that describes your business, spend the first month on the profile and the reviews, put the rate card in a WhatsApp catalogue, and keep the website to a straightforward brochure. We will say that on the call instead of selling a bigger build.
The site earns its money somewhere else. A hostel warden comparing three laundries, a hotel purchase manager collecting quotes for table linen, a restaurant group moving from in-house washing to a contract — none of them decide from a map listing. They open the site and look for capacity, turnaround time, whether chef whites and napkins are handled separately, and whether a GST invoice arrives at month end. Those pages face almost no competition, because most laundries never write them.
After launch, one person on your side owns the rate card and the slot capacity. Rates move; if the site says ₹70 per kg and the counter says ₹90, you have built yourself a daily argument. We hand over a rate table you can edit, along with a short handover video, and if nobody wants that job the care plan at ₹1,499/month covers the updates. Anything heavier — a driver app for pickups, route sheets, a customer login with order history — belongs in custom software and should be costed separately, not squeezed into a website build.
