Tiffin Service Website Design

Plan pages, a weekly rotating menu, trial meal booking, pause and skip, delivery areas and slots, and renewal reminders on WhatsApp. Built mobile-first from ₹24,999, live in 7–10 working days, with the domain and hosting in your name.

Tiffin Service Website Design

A tiffin kitchen loses money quietly. Somebody orders for a fortnight, the sabzi repeats twice in one week, they stop replying, and nobody notices until the month’s count is short by eleven dabbas. The website most tiffin services have does not touch any of that — it shows a phone number, three plate photos and a menu that was last changed when the business started.

We build the site around the subscription instead of around the food photos. Plans priced per meal and per month sit next to each other, next week’s menu is published before the week starts, a first-time visitor can book a single trial meal without committing, and existing subscribers can pause, skip or renew from their phone. The three demos below — DABBA, ZAYKA and MITTI — are live sites you can open right now and use like a customer would.

A tiffin customer searches once, then cancels quietly

The buying decision happens in one sitting, usually late at night, usually by someone who has just moved city or has given up on cooking after work. They search “tiffin service near me”, “monthly tiffin for students” or “Jain tiffin” with a locality attached, glance at a JustDial listing, ask in a hostel or society WhatsApp group, and open two or three websites. Inside a minute they want three things settled: does this kitchen cook what I eat, what does a month cost, and can I try it once before paying for twenty-six meals.

Most tiffin websites answer none of the three. The menu is a photograph of a laminated chart, the price says “call for details”, and the delivery area is vague, so a person six kilometres away rings up, gets refused, and both sides have lost a call. No trial meal, and no FSSAI number anywhere — which matters for a business that sends food into a stranger’s home daily.

Tiffin is also one of the few food categories the aggregators never took over. Swiggy and Zomato are built for a hungry person at nine in the evening, not for a twenty-six-meal plan with a Jain option, and their commission would swallow a per-meal margin often under thirty rupees. Direct booking is still normal here, and the calendar is sharp: hostel and PG intake in June and July, a second wave in January, and a quiet week around every big festival.

Churn, not order count, is the number that decides this business. Winning a subscriber costs real money in trial meals and referral credits, and keeping that person four months instead of one multiplies the same spend by four.

The screens a subscription kitchen actually runs on

A restaurant website sells one meal. A tiffin website sells a promise for a month, so the build sits closer to a small subscription product than to a brochure. Everything below is on DABBA, the tiffin demo, and the same subscription logic runs on MITTI for a weekly grocery box.

  • A plan chooser combining diet (veg, Jain, non-veg), meals (lunch, dinner or both) and duration, with the per-meal price shown beside the monthly price.
  • Next week’s menu published every Saturday, day by day, with a repeat check so the same sabzi does not appear twice in one week.
  • A single trial meal, bookable and payable without an account, with the date picker closing once the morning cut-off passes.
  • Delivery area check before payment: pincode or locality in, and a waitlist form instead of a dead end when the area is not served.
  • Lunch and dinner slot selection, with the cut-off time for changes stated on the same screen so nobody argues about it later.
  • A subscriber login where pause, skip-a-meal and address change are self-service, each skipped meal credited to the end of the plan.
  • Renewal two ways: a UPI autopay mandate through Razorpay, or a manual renew link sent on WhatsApp three days before the last meal.
  • Corporate and hostel enquiry form asking headcount, days per week, delivery point and billing entity, so the first reply can carry a real quote.
  • A hygiene page with the FSSAI licence number, dated kitchen photographs, the packing you use, and how the dabba is collected and washed.
  • Referral codes a subscriber can share on WhatsApp, with meals credited to both sides once the new plan is paid for.
  • Add-ons priced per unit — extra roti, curd, a festival thali — added to the running bill instead of settled in cash at the door.
  • An admin count sheet totalling tomorrow’s dabbas by area, slot and diet before nine in the morning, the one screen the kitchen opens daily.

All of it fits inside the standard web development service; only the subscriber panel is priced separately, because it is software rather than pages.

Somebody has to change the menu every Saturday

Before anything else, the honest part. If your kitchen is full — thirty dabbas going out inside one society gate or one hostel, no spare capacity — a website is not your next spend. Put the money into a Google Business Profile with real photographs and a WhatsApp broadcast list, and come back when you want a second area or corporate accounts. A website earns its keep the day you have capacity to fill.

When you do build one, understand what you are signing up for. A tiffin site is only as good as its most recent menu, and a stale menu is worse than none: it tells a visitor the kitchen has stopped caring. So we never ship a menu as a PDF that needs a designer. It is a table the owner edits from a phone in two minutes, and the weekly rhythm becomes menu on Saturday, count sheet every morning, one fresh kitchen photograph a month, renewal list on the twenty-fifth. If nobody in the business will own that, take the care plan at ₹1,499 a month and let us do it.

On rankings, be realistic. For “tiffin service near me” the Google Business Profile with weekly photo posts and steady reviews outranks the website in the map pack, and that is where most calls come from. The website’s job is to win the click after it, and to hold one page per delivery area with the actual localities named, which is the part SEO work can genuinely move.

Frequently asked questions

The Business Website at ₹24,999 covers up to seven pages — plans, menu, areas, hygiene, contact — with WhatsApp enquiry, on-page SEO basics and thirty days of support, live in 7–10 working days. Business Pro + SEO at ₹49,999 adds up to fifteen pages, a blog and SEO for ten keywords. The subscriber panel with pause, skip and autopay is ₹9,999 on top. All prices exclude 18% GST, paid 50% to start and 50% at launch.
No. Our office is in Pune and roughly sixty per cent of our clients are elsewhere in India. Work runs through a WhatsApp group for daily updates, Google Meet for reviews, a shared content checklist and a 40-point pre-launch check. Domain, hosting, admin logins and analytics are created in your name, so the site stays yours whoever maintains it later.
A food business selling online is expected to display its FSSAI registration or licence number, so we put it in the footer and on the hygiene page. Beyond the rule, it converts: a mother ordering for a hostel student reads that number, your dated kitchen photographs and your packing details before she reads the menu.
Yes, through a UPI autopay mandate on Razorpay, which the subscriber approves once and can cancel from their own app. We always keep the manual path alongside, because plenty of customers refuse a mandate: a renew link goes out on WhatsApp three days before the last meal, with one reminder on the morning the plan ends.
That is the point of the subscriber panel. They log in, skip a date or pause for a week, and the meal is credited to the end of the plan. The cut-off is enforced — skip before the morning cut-off, or the dabba is already packed — and every change is confirmed on WhatsApp so the kitchen count and the customer agree.
Not at the start. A mobile-first site plus WhatsApp does everything an app would do for your first few hundred subscribers, and asking someone to install an app before their trial meal costs you the sign-up. Once daily counts are steady and renewals are automated, an MVP app starts from ₹99,999 and is worth revisiting.
