Manufacturer & Industrial Supplier Website Design
A specification-first site for your plant: product pages with materials and tolerances, a downloadable PDF catalogue, ISO and IATF certificates, and an RFQ form that accepts a drawing. From ₹24,999, live in 7–10 working days.
A purchase engineer types “SS 316 pipe fitting manufacturer” into Google, opens six tabs and closes five of them within a minute. He is not reading your About page. He is looking for a size chart, a material grade, a tolerance and a number someone answers. Most factory websites in India show a rotating banner, a stock photo of a robot arm and nothing a purchase engineer can quote from.
We build the site around the specification, not the story. Catalogue first, with grades, sizes, tolerances and a datasheet on every product page; then capability, plant photographs, certificates and an RFQ form that takes a STEP or DWG file. The three demos below are live — Shakti Industries for precision engineering enquiries, Gantry for civil engineering capability, Terminal for a logistics yard operations screen. Open them on your phone, send the links to your sales head, and tell us what to change.
How a purchase engineer shortlists you in ninety seconds
Three routes bring an industrial enquiry to your door, and none of them is a casual visitor. The first is a portal — IndiaMART, TradeIndia or Alibaba — where a buyer collects five phone numbers, then searches each company name to see who looks like a real factory. The second is an exhibition: a badge is scanned at IMTEX or Engimach, the card sits in a pocket for three weeks, and the website is what the buyer sees when he finally follows up. The third is a specification search — “EN8 turned components manufacturer”, “IATF 16949 sheet metal fabrication”, “RoHS compliant cable gland supplier”.
In all three the site is a verification step, not a discovery step. The buyer is checking that you exist, that you own the machine that makes his part, and that you will still be trading when the second order goes out. What loses the enquiry is predictable: a product list with names but no grades or sizes, no PDF catalogue to forward to the design head, certificate logos with no number or validity, a plant gallery of three blurred photographs, and a contact form with four fields that cannot take a drawing. Export buyers add their own test — if INCOTERMS, packing detail and a port are not mentioned anywhere, they assume you have never shipped abroad.
The other silent leak is trust paperwork. GST number, Udyam registration, CIN and a full postal address in the footer take five minutes to add and settle a first-time buyer’s doubt faster than any paragraph about quality policy.
Catalogue, capability, RFQ — what goes into the build
Every product family gets its own page, because that is the page Google ranks and the page a buyer forwards internally. A typical build for a manufacturer or industrial supplier includes:
- Product pages with material grade, size range, tolerance class, finish and standard (IS, DIN, ASTM) set out in a table a buyer can quote from.
- A datasheet and drawing download on each product, plus one combined PDF catalogue carrying your current revision number.
- A capability page listing machines by type, count, bed size, tonnage and axes — VMC, CNC turning, press brake, moulding — with in-house and outsourced stated honestly.
- Quality page showing ISO 9001, IATF 16949, CE and RoHS as openable PDFs with certificate numbers and validity dates, next to gauge room and CMM photographs.
- RFQ form accepting PDF, DWG, STEP and IGES uploads, with quantity, material, drawing revision and target date fields.
- Each RFQ delivered to the sales inbox and to WhatsApp together, so no drawing waits for someone to open a laptop.
- MOQ, standard lead time and dispatch terms printed on the product page instead of “contact us for details”.
- Export section with the INCOTERMS you actually work on (EXW, FOB, CIF), packing, HS codes and ports handled.
- Dealer and distributor listing by state, with a separate become-a-distributor enquiry form.
- OEM and ODM page describing what you develop against a customer drawing, with an NDA note.
- Plant gallery shot by section — raw material store, machining, assembly, inspection, packing — compressed so it opens on shop-floor 4G.
- GST, Udyam and CIN in the footer, Organization and Product structured data, and the Business Profile linked to the plant address.
Where enquiry volume justifies it, the same catalogue data can drive a dealer price-list login. That is custom software territory rather than a website, and we say so before you pay for it.
You will not out-rank IndiaMART, so rank for the drawing instead
Be clear about the search results before spending on SEO. On a broad term like “sheet metal fabrication manufacturer” the first page belongs to IndiaMART, TradeIndia, Justdial and a couple of directories. One plant’s website is not going to displace them, and an agency that promises otherwise is selling a retainer.
What does rank is the specification tail: “aluminium die casting for LED housing”, “EN24 forged shaft job work”, “IP68 cable gland manufacturer”. Two enquiries a month at that level of detail are worth more than a hundred portal clicks, because the buyer has already matched your capability to his drawing. So we write one page per product family, one per material or grade, one per process, and one per industry served — automotive, pharma, railways, food equipment. Ten such pages beat one long homepage every time.
Keep the portal running alongside. IndiaMART is a lead cost, not a competitor; put your domain in the listing so the buyer verifies you on your own site instead of comparing four numbers inside a chat window.
After launch the update load is small but real: certificate renewals, a new machine, a revised catalogue PDF, a fresh dealer. One person in sales or QA can handle it in twenty minutes a month, and we hand over a written checklist with a screen recording. If nobody in the plant will own that, take the ₹1,499 per month care plan and simply send us the file — an expired certificate sitting on a website does more damage than no certificate at all.
