Solar Company Website Design
A solar website that answers the two questions every enquiry starts with — what it costs and what comes back as subsidy. Savings calculator, kW project gallery, WhatsApp quotes. From ₹24,999, live in 7–10 working days.
A homeowner in India starts with the electricity bill, not with solar. Two months of ₹8,000 bills, a neighbour who fitted panels last summer, and then a search for what a 3 kW system costs and how much of it the government pays. By the time that person reaches your website they already have a number in their head. Most solar sites answer with a photograph of a wind turbine.
We build the site around that number. A calculator that turns a monthly bill into a system size, a subsidy figure and a payback year; a project gallery where every job carries its kW rating and location; a quote form that asks for bill amount, roof area and pin code so your surveyor can price the job before the visit. The three demos below are live sites — open Solvára Energy on your phone and use it the way an enquiry would.
The bill photo is the real enquiry
Solar buying in India runs on two numbers: cost per kW and what comes back as subsidy. Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana a residential rooftop can draw up to ₹78,000, and most domestic enquiries have read that figure before they read anything of yours. What a buyer cannot work out alone is the part that decides the sale — whether 3 kW fits their roof, what the bill drops to, and how many years until the money comes back.
Enquiries arrive in waves. April to June, after the first heavy summer bills, is when the phone rings; the monsoon slows installation and the questions turn to financing. A site that sits unchanged through both halves of the year wastes the season it was built for.
Three things go wrong on most solar sites. They lead with stock photography of panels in a field somewhere in Europe. They hide behind “request a quote” instead of showing an honest price band per kW. And they say nothing about what a careful buyer checks: ALMM-listed modules, MNRE empanelment, registration with the DISCOM in the state where the job is, and whether you file the net-metering paperwork or hand it back to the customer.
From bill amount to a booked site survey
Every section below exists to move one enquiry a step further — from a bill amount typed on a phone to a survey booked in your calendar.
- A savings calculator that takes the monthly bill and roof area and returns system size in kW, likely subsidy, monthly savings and a payback year — with a line saying the final figure follows a site survey.
- A subsidy page in plain language: who qualifies under PM Surya Ghar, the slabs for 1 kW, 2 kW and 3 kW and above, the documents to keep ready, and where your team takes over.
- A net-metering page for each state DISCOM you work with, listing the application, inspection and meter-change steps with a realistic timeline instead of “we handle everything”.
- A project gallery where every entry carries kW, location, roof type and the month of commissioning — the most persuasive block on a solar site.
- An on-grid, off-grid and hybrid comparison that tells a buyer with a three-hour outage which one they need, not which one you would rather sell.
- Product pages naming the ALMM-listed module brands and inverter makes you fit, with the 25-year panel warranty and 5–10 year inverter warranty stated side by side so nobody is surprised in year seven.
- A commercial and industrial rooftop section written for the finance team: capex versus opex, accelerated depreciation, unit cost against the current industrial tariff.
- A financing block for your tie-ups — EMI ranges, the documents a bank asks for, and an enquiry that routes to whoever handles loan files.
- An AMC and monitoring page: cleaning cycles, generation reports, what a service call costs after year one.
- A quote form capturing bill amount, roof area, pin code and connection type — four fields that let you qualify before you drive.
- Every enquiry into WhatsApp with the form values attached, so your team replies with a sizing estimate instead of “please share details”.
All of it is built mobile-first as part of our web development service, because most solar enquiries open on a phone, one-handed, standing on a terrace.
Where the government portal will out-rank you, and what to work on instead
Be clear about one thing before spending on search. For queries about the scheme itself — how to apply, how much is sanctioned, application status — the national portal and the DISCOM sites hold the top results, and no amount of content moves you above them. Chasing those keywords buys traffic that was never going to buy a system from you.
What is winnable is anything with intent and geography attached: installation searches for the districts you actually service, price pages for the sizes you sell most, rooftop solar for a specific building type, and the comparison searches people run before shortlisting a vendor. Ten of those, done with a Google Business Profile and photographs from real installations, is what our SEO work targets for a solar firm. Slower than the portal, and it brings people ready for a survey.
After launch, one thing has to keep moving: the gallery. A solar site showing the same six projects it launched with reads as a company that stopped working. The habit that survives is a WhatsApp message from the site engineer on commissioning day — four photos, kW, location, roof type — and someone in the office adding it that week. If nobody will own that ten-minute job, take the ₹24,999 build and skip the SEO retainer; the content plan dies in month two and you will have paid for it.
